Kelechi Iheanacho helps Leicester City to break 52 years record

The Leicester City and Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has sent his club side to the final round of the FA cup, after a 1-0 defeat against Southampton on Sunday evening, to break 52 years record.



The Nigerian striker who has been in good form for Leicester City, has scored 4 goals in his last 5 FA cup games.


The breakthrough came 10 minutes into the second half as Vardy’s pace left Jan Bednarek trailing behind,slightly passed the ball down, Iheanacho fluffed his first effort, but the ball broke kindly back to the Nigerian to slot home his 4th goal in his last five FA cup games.

An 8,000 crowd will be in attendance at Wembley next Sunday for the League Cup final between Manchester City and Tottenham, while 21,000 will welcome Leicester back to the home of English football for the FA Cup final against Chelsea on the 15th of May 2021.


Leicester City are in their first FA Cup final since 1969. It was the first time they had reached the last 4 since 1982.
