Ondo state on fire as gunmen attack Chimola school, cart away with the school bus carrying the students and staffs along Oba-Ile close to Akure, Ondo State southwest Nigeria.
About eight gunmen has waylaid a school bus carrying both Students and teachers to their school on Thursday morning
According to the BBC non of the pupils were kidnapped but the gunmen had to force the driver out of the vehicle and drove to a nearby forest where the staffs of the school were later released.
According to the principal of Chimola School Bolatito Akindemowa who told Shegze “ Non of Our staffs were injured in the incident, although they took some of their belongings, like phones and Money but we bless God they are all alive.” She said.
The governor of Ondo state promised to visit the school in due time and also promised to reinforce the security sector.
